Core Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end purchasing lifecycle from requisition review, PO generation, and order tracking to goods receipt and accounts payable clearance.
• Manage procurement for high-mix/low-volume production parts, raw materials, spare parts, MRO items, consumables, and project-related components.
• Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and vendor portals to monitor daily usage trends, demand forecasts, and delivery schedules to ensure zero production downtime.
• Maintain balanced inventory levels at target safety stock thresholds to minimize holding costs while securing material availability.
• Lead supplier negotiations regarding unit pricing, volume contracts, lead times, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure optimal total cost of ownership.
• Assess and monitor supplier KPIs across cost, quality, on-time delivery (OTD), and service responsiveness.
• Coordinate with internal engineering and quality teams to resolve technical discrepancies, part non-conformance, and supplier non-performance issues.
• Source, evaluate, and onboard qualified new suppliers in compliance with corporate procurement governance and quality standards.
• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Finance departments to ensure operational alignment and expedite critical parts.
• Drive lean initiatives, supplier development programs, and continuous cost-reduction strategies across the regional supply base.
• Analyze procurement spend data and generate management reports highlighting trends, supplier risks, and cost savings.

Key Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial mindset with proven experience negotiating commercial terms, pricing, and master service agreements rather than managing purely transactional PO administration.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (hands-on SAP experience in PO creation, maintenance, and MRP runs strongly preferred); advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis).
