BCG Expand is BCG’s benchmarking and analytics business for financial institutions. We give banks, wealth managers, and asset managers fact-based insight into how they perform against their peers, so they can make better decisions on growth, cost, and investment.

Our portfolio covers more than 65 benchmarks across the front-to-back value chain, including revenue pools, market sizing, operating costs, technology costs, market data, and brokerage fees. Clients use them to find where they are ahead of or behind the market, size opportunities, and build the case for change

The Role

We are looking for a hunter to grow BCG Expand’s client base across APAC. You will own a portfolio of leading Asian financial institutions, combining new-business hunting with account farming. That means opening doors in parts of the bank where BCG Expand has no presence today, using success in one area to open another, and bringing in BCG colleagues and product experts to close the deal. You will also cover a wider set of smaller regional accounts with a more tactical approach.

This is a role for someone who knows who the buyers are and can turn a conversation into a signed contract. You will work closely with our delivery and product teams, and with BCG’s industry practice leaders and regional client teams.

What you'll do

• Win new business by identifying, approaching, and closing banks, wealth managers, and asset managers across APAC
• Own and develop a set of priority accounts, building relationships across the institution and hunting in areas where we have no current penetration
• Build and manage your own pipeline, from first outreach through to contract
• Sell across the whole Expand portfolio, creating multi-benchmark opportunities within each client
• Engage buyers across global markets, retail, business and corporate banking, wealth, and asset management, as well as strategy, finance, operations, technology, and procurement
• Position benchmarks around the client’s priorities: where to grow, where to cut cost, and where to invest
• Partner with BCG partners and regional teams to coordinate account strategy and create referral and cross-selling opportunities
• Represent BCG Expand at client meetings, industry events, and conferences
• Maintain accurate pipeline records and provide regular forecasts and market feedback to leadership using our CRM

What we are looking for

• A proven track record of selling benchmarks, data, analytics, research, or advisory products to financial institutions
• Exposure to benchmarking, market data, research, or consulting-led products
• Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder, or consortium-style sales
• Fluency in an additional Asian language, ideally Japanese, Mandarin or Cantonese is preffered
• Familiarity with CRM tools and structured sales methodologies
• Experience selling to more than one segment (for example, global markets as well as retail or corporate banking)
• A strong existing network of senior contacts at Asian banks, wealth managers, and/or asset managers, with the credibility to get meetings and reach budget holders
• Demonstrated success in a new-business hunter role, with a history of meeting or exceeding targets
• Strong understanding of how banks, wealth managers, and asset managers are organized, how they make buying decisions, and the pressures they face
• The ability to hold credible conversations with senior executives, from COO, CIO, and CFO to heads of business lines
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Comfort working independently across multiple markets and time zones

Location and Visa

This role is based in our Singapore CBD office. Applicants must be currently living in Singapore or willing to relocate at their own cost. Visa and work sponsorship will be provided where required.
