About the Role

Responsible for providing Instrumentation & Control engineering support for DIALOG’s projects, covering engineering design, technical documentation, procurement, construction support, testing and commissioning. The role will work closely with internal teams, clients, consultants, vendors and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with applicable standards and specifications. DIALOG’s engineering business covers areas including tank terminals, refinery, petrochemical and gas processing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review Instrumentation & Control engineering designs, specifications and technical documents.
• Prepare and review instrument datasheets, instrument index, specifications, I/O lists, hook-up drawings, loop diagrams and cable schedules.
• Review P&IDs, control philosophies, Cause & Effect diagrams and related engineering documents.
• Participate in technical reviews, HAZID/HAZOP and SIL studies where required.
• Support DCS, PLC, SIS/ESD, Fire & Gas and other control system-related activities.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines to ensure proper integration of instrumentation and control systems.
• Prepare technical documentation for procurement, including Material Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations.
• Review vendor quotations, drawings, technical submissions and documentation.
• Liaise with vendors, consultants, clients and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Provide engineering support during construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Support FAT, SAT, loop checking, functional testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure engineering works comply with company requirements, project specifications and applicable industry standards such as ISA, IEC, API and NFPA.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for instrumentation and control system issues.
• Monitor assigned engineering deliverables to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Support project teams in resolving site technical issues and closing punch-list items.
• Perform other engineering duties as assigned by the Project / Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–7 years of relevant experience for Engineer-level roles; experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, EPC/EPCC, Terminal or Process Industry is preferred.
• Good knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including DCS, PLC, SIS/ESD and Fire & Gas systems.
• Experience with engineering documentation such as P&IDs, instrument datasheets, Cause & Effect and loop drawings.
• Familiarity with relevant engineering standards and practices.
• Experience dealing with vendors, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Good analytical, communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to travel or work at project/construction sites when required.
