Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

To assist the Outlet Manager in the daily operation and management of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient operations, food quality, cleanliness, staff performance, and compliance with company standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Outlet Operations

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
  • Ensure the outlet is properly prepared before opening and properly closed at the end of operations.
  • Monitor service flow, table turnover, guest satisfaction, and overall outlet efficiency.
  • Ensure company operating procedures and service standards are consistently followed.
  • Handle operational issues and resolve them promptly.

2. Staff Management

  • Supervise, motivate, and support restaurant staff during daily operations.
  • Allocate duties and prepare staff deployment according to business needs.
  • Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate operational updates to the team.
  • Assist the Outlet Manager with staff scheduling, attendance, and leave planning.
  • Maintain discipline and promote teamwork and professionalism.

3. Customer Service

  • Ensure guests receive friendly, efficient, and professional service.
  • Handle customer feedback, complaints, and special requests appropriately.
  • Follow up on customer concerns and take corrective action when required.
  • Build good relationships with regular customers and maintain a positive dining experience.

4. Food & Beverage Quality

  • Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, portion control, and service standards.
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices are followed.
  • Monitor product availability and coordinate with the kitchen or relevant departments to avoid service disruptions.
  • Ensure menu items and promotions are properly communicated to staff.

5. Inventory & Cost Control

  • Assist with monitoring stock levels and conducting stock counts.
  • Minimize wastage, spoilage, breakage, and unnecessary operational costs.
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, and usage of food, beverages, and operating supplies.
  • Report stock discrepancies and unusual wastage to the Outlet Manager.

6. Cashiering & Financial Controls

  • Monitor cashiering procedures and ensure accurate handling of cash and payment transactions.
  • Assist with daily sales reconciliation and cash closing procedures.
  • Ensure discounts, refunds, voids, and complimentary items are properly authorized and recorded.
  • Report financial discrepancies to the appropriate manager.

7. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation throughout the outlet.
  • Ensure employees comply with food safety, workplace safety, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular checks of dining areas, kitchen areas, equipment, and facilities.
  • Report maintenance, safety, or equipment issues promptly.

8. Administration & Reporting

  • Assist the Outlet Manager in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Monitor sales, staffing, customer feedback, wastage, and other relevant outlet performance indicators.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and company initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in restaurant or food & beverage operations.
  • Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of restaurant operations, customer service, food safety, and cost control.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position based at the restaurant outlet.
  • Requires prolonged standing and frequent movement during operating hours.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
