Accounting Supervisor

Permanent Position

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain effective internal controls, and support financial analysis and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger and statutory reporting experience, with the ability to lead a team and drive process improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end closing activities, and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, statutory reporting, and supporting schedules.
  • Monitor internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
  • Support financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to facilitate business decision-making.
  • Coordinate statutory audits, tax audits, and other regulatory reporting requirements, working closely with external auditors and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, strengthen financial controls, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business operations.
  • Utilise financial systems and analytical tools to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and data visibility.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • 7–12 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger, financial accounting, internal controls, statutory reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Hyperion; experience with Alteryx and Power BI is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet reporting deadlines, and drive continuous process improvements.
