Role Description This is a remote, contract role for Cantonese Interpreters with a minimum of three months of relevant experience. The interpreter will provide real-time Cantonese–English interpretation via phone or online platforms for clients in various sectors, such as customer support, business operations, and service delivery. Daily tasks include accurately conveying meaning, tone, and context between both languages, maintaining confidentiality, and following client-specific protocols and guidelines. The role involves managing scheduled sessions, documenting interactions as required, and collaborating with coordinators or project managers to ensure service quality. Interpreters are expected to maintain professional conduct, adhere to ethical standards, and consistently meet performance and responsiveness expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong Cantonese and English language proficiency, including excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension skills.
• Demonstrated experience in interpretation or related language services (minimum three months), with the ability to handle real-time communication.
• Familiarity with remote work tools and platforms, and reliable access to a quiet workspace, high-speed internet, and appropriate audio equipment.
• Ability to follow interpreting protocols, maintain confidentiality, and work with diverse clients and subject matters.
• Experience: Minimum 6 months- 3 years of professional interpretation experience

• Specialization: Proven expertise in Medical or Legal sectors
• Flexibility: Availability for OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments.
• Professionalism: High level of listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.

• Wired USB headset with noise cancellation
• At least 10Mbps upload speed and 20 Mbps download speed
