Job Description

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing and midwifery care to mothers and newborns throughout the maternity care journey.
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal conditions and promptly report any abnormalities or changes to the medical team.
• Assist doctors and healthcare professionals during labour, delivery, examinations, and maternity-related procedures.
• Provide appropriate nursing care and support during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, progress, and overall condition while maintaining accurate nursing documentation and medical records.
• Provide postnatal care and guidance to mothers, including breastfeeding support, newborn care, and health education.
• Administer medications and treatments according to doctors' instructions and established hospital policies.
• Respond appropriately to obstetric emergencies and work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain infection control, patient safety, confidentiality, and professional nursing standards at all times.
• Provide compassionate emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families throughout their care.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.
• Registered Nurse with the Malaysian Nursing Board
• Must possess Post Basic in Midwifery or Advanced Diploma in Midwifery.
• Relevant clinical experience in Midwifery, Maternity, Labour & Delivery, or Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) is preferred.
• Good knowledge of maternal and newborn care, patient safety, and infection control practices.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, responsible, and able to provide patient-centred care.
• Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
