About the Company

A leading food distribution company in Malaysia, supplying high-quality food products to hotels, restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and food service businesses.

We are seeking an ambitious, hands-on Managing Director to drive our business growth, commercial strategy, and daily operations. You will take full P&L ownership, work closely on the ground with cross-functional teams, and provide practical leadership. We welcome high-potential leaders stepping into their first Managing Director role, provided you demonstrate strong commercial acumen and proven team leadership.

Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
Work Mode: Work from Office

• Business Strategy & Growth: Execute business plans to hit sales and profit targets. Translate goals into team KPIs and expand market reach and product lines.
• Sales & Commercial Development: Lead sales across foodservice accounts, join client visits, support key negotiations, and track sales margins.
• Product & Supplier Management: Manage principal relationships, evaluate product margins and shelf life, negotiate supply terms, and address slow-moving inventory.
• Operations & Logistics: Direct purchasing, import coordination, warehousing, and delivery performance. Resolve ground-level operational bottlenecks.
• Inventory & Quality Control: Control working capital and cold-chain storage. Minimize stock losses while ensuring Halal and food safety compliance.
• Financial Ownership: Manage the company P&L, operational budgets, cash flow, customer credit terms, and overdue collections.
• Team Leadership: Set performance standards, coach department heads, and build a high-accountability workforce.
• Reporting & Governance: Report financial results, risks, and expansion plans to shareholders and executive leadership.
  
  

• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA is a plus).
• Proven track record in operational management and team leadership, preferably with P&L ownership.
• Fluent in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Experienced in food distribution, food service, food trading, or FMCG.
• Strong financial acumen, commercial judgment, and ground-level problem-solving skills.
