Commercial Director – Asia

Morgan Philips has exclusively partnered with a well-established, privately owned global electronics manufacturing services company for a search for its Commercial Director – Asia.

About the company

Our client is a long-standing manufacturing partner to OEMs in high-reliability sectors, including semiconductor equipment, medical, aerospace and industrial automation. With operations across multiple regions, it is investing significantly in Asia as a key growth platform.

The opportunity

This is the senior commercial leadership role for the Asia business, reporting to global leadership. You will own the full commercial engine – sales, quotations and program management – and lead the business through an ambitious multi-year growth plan, with real influence over how the organisation is shaped.

Key responsibilities

- Leading the entire commercial function, Sales, Quotes and Program Management

- Define and execute the regional sales strategy, winning new business from OEMs and contract manufacturers

- Lead RFQs, proposals, pricing and complex commercial and contract negotiations

- Own key customer relationships, including Quarterly Business Reviews and customer scorecards

- Lead, hire and develop the sales, quotations and program management teams

- Own forecasting, budget and revenue planning, reporting regularly to global leadership

- Partner closely with operations, engineering and quality to deliver on customer commitments

What we are looking for

- 10+ years in EMS, contract manufacturing or OEM environments

- Proven record of winning new business and negotiating complex contracts

- Strong key account and program management experience in a high-mix, low-volume setting

- Track record of building and leading commercial teams

- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain

- Degree in business, engineering or a related field

- Excellent English; additional languages an advantage

- Entrepreneurial, hands-on and comfortable in a fast-growing organisation
