Our IT engineering team develops and maintains the internal systems that support our project management, maintenance contract tracking, site inspections, field operations, and reporting across our international offices.

We are looking for a Software Engineer – Full-Stack Development & AI-Assisted Engineering to join our small, hands-on engineering team.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working across the full technology stack. You will contribute to our existing business platforms, API integrations, mobile applications, and AWS infrastructure while using modern AI development tools as part of your everyday workflow.

You will also have the opportunity to work on new mobile applications that use smartphone sensors to measure elevator and escalator movement.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain our Lift Maintenance Contract Management System, including integrations with multiple elevator OEM APIs and tools for maintenance, callback, repair, KPI, contract and penalty analysis.
• Develop our internal Project Management System, including field operations, inspections, timesheets, billing, invoicing, learning and training functionality.
• Develop and maintain Flutter-based mobile applications, with opportunities to work with native Android/iOS functionality and smartphone sensors.
• Build and maintain REST APIs, WebSocket integrations and third-party API integrations.
• Work with our AWS environment, including EC2, Lambda, Amplify and API Gateway, and contribute to deployment, CI/CD, monitoring and reliability.
• Use GitHub/Bitbucket with feature branches, pull requests and code reviews.
• Provide general day-to-day IT support to colleagues across our international branches.
• Support our WordPress websites with content and configuration changes.
• Help improve data privacy, security, backup/recovery and disaster recovery practices.
• Look for opportunities to improve business processes through technology.
• Explore how AI and agentic AI can be practically integrated into our systems and workflows.

AI is part of the job

We don't treat AI-assisted development as an optional extra. Tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot and similar AI coding assistants are expected to form part of your normal development workflow.

At the same time, we expect you to understand the code you deliver. You should be comfortable reviewing, testing and validating AI-generated code before it reaches production and knowing when AI is — and isn't — the right tool for the job.

We're looking for someone with solid software engineering fundamentals and an interest in developing across different technologies and areas of the business.

Experience or knowledge in several of the following would be valuable:
