Our client is one of the world's largest global commodity trading companies with a strong origination hub based in Singapore. As part of their growth, they are seeking a LNG Bunker Trader to join their team.

The Role

This is a chance to help shape how LNG gets bunkered across Asia. Our client is growing its LNG bunkering business and wants a commercial driver to take the portfolio forward. You’ll sit at the centre of the action, structuring and closing LNG resale deals, building relationships with suppliers and customers, and spotting the next opportunity before the market does. You’ll work side by side with traders, customers and internal teams, and your work will have a direct, visible effect on the growth of the business. As part of the role, you will:

• Partner with customer traders to structure, negotiate and close spot and term LNG resale deals
• Own and strengthen resale agreements with Asian physical suppliers, and win new supplier relationships and contracts
• Hunt down and develop new LNG bunkering opportunities across Asian ports
• Join technical and operational discussions to make sure every delivery runs smoothly
• Keep a close eye on the market: spot emerging opportunities and track what competitors are doing in LNG bunkering using market intelligence tools
• Build and run account plans for key customers, working directly with them and their trading teams
• Represent the business in customer meetings and commercial presentations, pitching LNG bunkering solutions
• Back the traders’ marketing efforts and follow through on business development activity
• Create the presentations, reports and meeting content that keep the business on track, and run regular business reviews

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, Economics, Energy Management or a related field
• 5 to 10 years of commercial experience in LNG, bunker trading, marine fuels, commodities, energy trading or a related industry
• Strong knowledge of LNG markets, trading practices, supply chains, and bunkering operations.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, traders, suppliers, and key industry stakeholders.
