DHL Hiring! Full Time Transport Team Leader (Linehaul) in Selangor - Ricebowl

We are currently seeking a Transport Team Leader (Linehaul) to join DHL eCommerce Malaysia!

The Transport Team Leader (Linehaul) will proactively track performance data, motivate, and engage team members through effective communication and regular monitoring / support to achieve targets and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Linehaul Operations

• Assist supervisor in the day-to-day operations activities in relation to the backhaul, linehaul and process requirements
• Manage and coordinate trucks for standby, inbound, outbound and priority.
• Execute and ensure linehaul plans according to the set times schedules and maximize bay utilization to ensure all process are accurate and on time.
• Monitor loading bay availability, progress, utilization and coordinate with Hub’s loading team to avoid / minimize delays.
• Understand the sorting process and pattern for better linehaul schedule and adjustment.
• Identify and plan for consolidation of route or reroute truck to achieve high utilization of truck space and high dispatch volumes by close communicate with Loading Team.
• Prepare truck manifest and completed the truck with seal before departure.
• Generate Operation Report and ensure accuracy of data entry.
• Identify problems and take immediate corrective action.

Driver and Vendor Management

• Lead and engage with drivers according to set key performance indicators (KPI) and execute SOP
• Ensure vendors and drivers are well informed and updated with truck’s routes changes.
• Periodic track and monitor truck Movement to identify, report and act on abnormal / non compliances journey
• Close Follow up with vendors on delays, breakdowns, or driver issues by identifying new timeline and well-informed respective depot/hub
• Report repeated problematic driver or vendor problems to superior.
• Prepare schedule for driver break

Safety, Incident and Exception Management

• Promote safe working policies and ensuring adherence to transport regulations, vehicle maintenance schedules, and workplace safety policies
• Report incidents and accidents to superior
• Keep stakeholders well and timely informed to any delays, accident or breakdown issues.
• Ensuring idling is kept at minimum possible level.
• Assist in ensuring maintenance requirements of facility, vehicles, equipment and infrastructure, are carried out in accordance with regional guidelines and company's requirements.

Leadership

• Lead and guide the linehaul team on KPI and SOP implementation.
• Assign tasks and monitor team performance.
• Conduct daily briefings.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, safety, and responsibility.

Desired Skills / Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years relevant in logistic field.
• Good Communication in Bahasa. Fluent in English will be an added advantage.
• Leadership Skills.
