WY& Partners Hiring! Full Time Restaurant Assistant Manager in Federal Territory, Earn up to MYR 4,500 - Ricebowl

The Assistant Outlet Manager is the highest FOH authority on site and is fully accountable for daily restaurant operations, service quality, and front-of-house team performance. This role requires strong floor leadership, hands-on service management, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, tourist-heavy environment while catering equally to local customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Floor Management

• Oversee daily FOH operations including opening, closing, and late shifts (up to 11.00pm)
• Act as the person-in-charge (PIC) during shifts, ensuring smooth service flow and issue resolution
• Coordinate closely with the Executive Chef to align service timing and guest experience
• Monitor cleanliness, ambience, and overall dining experience

People Management

• Lead, schedule, and supervise FOH team (service crew, cashiers, runners)
• Conduct on-the-job coaching, service briefings, and performance monitoring
• Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of FOH staff

Customer Experience

• Deliver consistent service standards suitable for both tourists and local customers
• Communicate confidently with English-speaking guests; manage expectations clearly
• Handle non-halal concept communication tactfully when required

Sales, Cost & Compliance

• Drive upselling, promotions, and table-turn efficiency
• Monitor wastage, breakage, and basic cost controls on the FOH side
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and local regulations

Requirements:

Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in F&B operations
• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role
• Experience in restaurant / casual dining / pizzeria is highly preferred

Skills & Attributes

• Strong floor presence and leadership mindset
• Comfortable working without a Restaurant Manager on site
• Able to handle late shifts and weekend operations
• Good command of English (added advantage due to tourist traffic)
• Calm under pressure, service-oriented, and solutions-driven

Other Conditions

• Comfortable working in a non-halal restaurant
• Willing to work in Petaling Street (busy, tourist-dense area)
• Latest shift ends at 11.00pm

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
