Job Description

Responsibilities

Summary

  • Maintenance & Operations
    • Oversee daily maintenance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
    • Ensure timely repairs of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
    • Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise engineering staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
    • Provide training on safety procedures and technical skills.
    • Foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire safety, and health regulations.
    • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments.
    • Maintain records of maintenance activities and safety checks.
  • Energy & Cost Management
    • Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
    • Recommend upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Manage departmental budgets and procurement of spare parts.
  • Coordination
    • Work closely with other departments to address maintenance needs.
    • Support event setups and special projects requiring technical expertise.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 5–7 years in hotel engineering or facilities management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge, leadership, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Technical: Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and property management systems (PMS).

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage emergencies effectively.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
