Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin/Cantonese is added advantage.
- Proven experience of 2-3 years as a Storekeeper within the textiles or garment industry.
- Solid understanding of inventory management principles, including the effective application of the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, especially MS Excel for data entry, tracking, and reporting.
- Ability to do stock picking and packing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, to collaborate effectively with colleagues and report on inventory status.
- The ability to maintain an organized and safe storage environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records by diligently applying the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to ensure stock rotation.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming textile and garment materials, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse or stockroom in a clean, orderly for easy access to all items.
- Process outgoing orders by accurately picking, packing, and labeling garments and textiles according to customer specifications and shipping requirements.
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to identify discrepancies and reconcile inventory levels, reporting any variances to management.
- Utilize basic computer skills, including MS Excel, to update inventory databases, generate reports, and track stock movements.
- Collaborate effectively with the production, sales, and logistics teams, communicating stock availability and any potential delays.
- Assist in the implementation and adherence to store management best practices, contributing to the overall efficiency of the supply chain.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as required, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks.
- Identify and report damaged or defective goods, initiating the return or disposal process as per company policy.
- Support the warehouse team with the ad-hoc tasks as required.
