SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER | SUBANG JAYA

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer on behalf of our client, a well-established multinational company in the construction and building solutions industry.

This role is ideal for a technically strong Structural Engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career, with opportunities to contribute to structural design, engineering solutions, R&D, product development, and technical leadership.

Subang Jaya, Selangor

Key Responsibilities

• Provide structural engineering support to internal and external clients.
• Develop and maintain design tools, calculation models, and engineering procedures.
• Support R&D projects and product compliance for existing and new product groups.
• Prepare engineering plans, detailed drawings, project specifications, and cost estimates.
• Lead and mentor a small team of engineers within the technical department.
• Provide technical presentations and engineering support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, products, and developments within structural engineering.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and company standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the technical and engineering function.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and design.
• Relevant experience in structural engineering, construction, engineering design, architecture, or building materials.
• Hands-on experience in engineering calculations, technical documentation, and report writing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with precast concrete lifting and connections is an added advantage.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, responsible, and able to work effectively under pressure.
• Comfortable working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with junior engineers.

What We’re Looking For

• We are particularly interested in candidates with a solid structural engineering and design background.
• Candidates with a strong academic background are preferred, as academic results may form part of the selection process.

Work Authorization

• This position is open to candidates who are already legally authorized to work in Malaysia.
• Visa/work permit sponsorship is not provided for this role.
