I-Call International Hiring! Full Time Mandarin or Cantonese Medical Interpreter in - Ricebowl

I-Call International is looking to hire more Mandarin and Cantonese Interpreters to work remotely. As a consecutive medical interpreter, your primary responsibility is to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients.

Your duties may include:Interpretation:

You will be responsible for accurately interpreting medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and other information between Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking patients and healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and other medical staff.

Cultural mediation: You may need to provide cultural mediation services to help patients understand the healthcare system and how to navigate it effectively. You may also need to help healthcare providers understand cultural differences that may affect patient care.

Confidentiality: You must maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in the interpretation profession.

Documentation: You may be responsible for documenting interpretation services provided, including the date, time, duration, and type of interpretation.

Professional development: You will need to keep up-to-date with the latest medical terminology and healthcare practices to ensure accurate interpretation.

Qualifications for a consecutive medical interpreter:

Fluency in either Mandarin or Cantonese and English

Experience in interpretation or Translation

Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with the healthcare system is also important.

Good communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role.

Technical Requirements:

• Minimum 15 Mbps download and upload speed.
• Wired USB headset with Boom Microphone (E.g Logitech H390 / Plantronics C3220) with Minimal Design
• Computer with an Intel Core i5, 6th generation or higher, and at least 8 GB RAM.
• Wired LAN/Ethernet connection.
• FHD webcam with 1080P 
• Quiet and professional workspace. 

Timings: Minimum 6 hours and maximum 8 hours - EST time zone

Payment - 9 to 10 USD per hour
