Job Description

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on accounting experience and be comfortable managing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting month-end closing activities, and ensuring accurate financial records.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle full or partial set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting records, journal entries, payment vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and analysis as required by management.
  • Monitor cash flow, outstanding payments, collections, and vendor/customer account balances.
  • Support tax, audit, statutory, and compliance-related matters.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders when required.
  • Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to strengthen finance operations and reporting efficiency.
  • Support the implementation and administration of Malaysia e-Invoice and other applicable finance compliance requirements.


Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant hands-on accounting experience, preferably with exposure to full-set accounts and month-end closing.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookup functions, PivotTables and data analysis, with experience using accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian tax, SST, or statutory requirements will be an added advantage.
  • Proactive, resourceful and willing to learn, with the ability to identify issues, investigate discrepancies and propose practical solutions.
