Job Description:

• Design, execute, and document microbiological and molecular biology experiments in compliance with SOPs
• Perform DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation, sequencing, PCR, ELISA, and related biochemical assays.
• Assist with in vitro studies (e.g., cell culture and co-culture with metabolites, drugs, bacteria, or bacterial derivatives), microbial culture (aerobic/anaerobic), and animal studies (monitoring, oral gavage, sacrifice procedures, sample processing).
• Support clinical research activities, including sample collection, handling, and data analysis
• Assist with general laboratory operations, including procurement, quality assurance, inventory management, and record keeping.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Food Technology, or related fields.
• Prior experience in DNA extraction, PCR, ELISA, cell / microbial culture and animal experiments.
• Ability to support research projects and quality control processes as required
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in conducting clinical studies, sample collection and handling, and data analysis (Linux, Python, R) will be considered an advantage.

Appointment will be made on contract basis for one to two years, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement. (Less experience will be considered at Junior Research Assistant)

Work locations are in Hong Kong Science Park Technology Park / Prince of Wales Hospital
