Job Description: Welder

Welders operate welding equipment in order to join metal workpieces together. They can use fusion welding processes based on different techniques and materials. They also perform simple visual inspection of welds.

Job Scope

• Required to work on day and night shifts according to the assigned schedule.
• Perform welding activities to join metal components and workpieces according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Operate welding machines and equipment safely and efficiently using the required welding techniques.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions to ensure accurate welding work.
• Conduct visual inspections of completed welds to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Ensure welding work meets the required quality, dimensional, and safety standards.
• Identify and report welding defects or abnormalities to the supervisor for corrective action.
• Perform basic maintenance and ensure welding machines, tools, and equipment are kept in good working condition.
• Follow established work procedures, production schedules, and quality requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping and comply with safety, 5S, and workplace regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
