Job Description

• Prepare, portion, and distribute food ingredients for practical lessons.
• Assist with weekly food orders and receive vendor deliveries.
• Check food deliveries for correct quantity, quality, and specifications.
• Label, store, and manage food ingredients according to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Conduct inventory checks of ingredients, utensils, equipment, and supplies.
• Inspect and maintain kitchen utensils, appliances, and cooking equipment; report defects.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and general upkeep of NFS special rooms.
• Provide administrative support to teachers for lessons and activities.
• Perform weekly Friday cleaning and thorough cleaning during June and September school holidays.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a school or commercial kitchen.
• Good knowledge of food safety and handling; relevant Food Safety Course Level 1 certification preferred.
• Able to work well in a dynamic environment.
• Good teamwork, organisational, time management and communication skills.
• PSLE pass required to communicate with students, vendors and contractors.
