- Assist in planning and executing audit assignments for companies across various industries.
- Perform audit fieldwork, including checking supporting documents, verifying transactions and balances, and preparing audit working papers.
- Prepare financial statements and relevant audit documentation in accordance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.
- Perform analytical review and identify unusual transactions, variances, and potential audit issues.
- Liaise with clients to obtain information, explanations, and supporting documents required for the audit.
- Follow up with clients on outstanding audit matters and ensure audit assignments are completed within the agreed timeline.
- Assist in preparing audit reports and communicating audit findings to the Audit Senior or Audit Manager.
- Ensure audit work is performed in compliance with relevant Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, MPERS, and International Standards on Auditing, where applicable.
- Assist in other accounting, assurance, or related assignments as required.
- Maintain professional and effective communication with clients and team members.
Candidate requirements
- Experience in audit or any public accounting firm is highly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA or equivalent), or currently pursuing one
- Working knowledge of MPERS/MFRS and approved standards on auditing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); exposure to audit or accounting software is an added advantage
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage tight deadlines during peak periods
- Willing to work at our SS15, Subang Jaya office and travel to clients' premises for fieldwork
- Keen to learn, with a positive attitude at work
