Eckem Hiring! Full Time CHEMIST in Selangor, Earn up to MYR 6,000 - Ricebowl

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Chemist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laboratory testing, product evaluation, formulation support and technical activities related to paint, coating and industrial chemical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing and product evaluation according to established procedures and customer requirements.
• Perform product application testing and product trials, particularly for paint, coating and industrial chemical applications.
• Assist in the development, improvement and modification of chemical formulations and products.
• Conduct testing on raw materials, intermediate products and finished products.
• Analyse test results and prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Assist in investigating product performance issues and carrying out relevant testing to support technical solutions.
• Provide technical support to the Sales team based on customer requirements and product application needs.
• Assist during customer product trials, application testing and technical discussions when required.
• Prepare test panels, drawdown samples and other product samples for internal testing and customer presentation.
• Maintain proper records of laboratory tests, product trials, formulations and product specifications.
• Ensure laboratory equipment and testing instruments are properly maintained and kept in good working condition.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory stock and ensure sufficient availability of chemicals, testing materials and other laboratory items.
• Follow proper laboratory safety and chemical handling procedures at all times.
• Keep updated on relevant developments, technologies, materials and applications in the paint, coating and industrial chemical industry.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in chemistry, laboratory testing, product evaluation, formulation or related activities.
• Experience in the paint, coating or industrial chemical industry is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of paint/coating formulation and chemical applications will be an advantage.
• Good laboratory, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good technical and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin will be an added advantage.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Willing to support customer product trials, application testing and technical activities when required.
• Good knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical handling practices.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
