Role Overview

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to design and deliver secure, scalable applications across web front-end technologies and back-end services built with Java, Spring Boot, and .NET. Prior experience in banking or financial services is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end solutions, including responsive web front ends and back-end services using Java (Spring Boot) and .NET.
• Lead technical design for new features and services, write design documents, and drive implementation through to delivery.
• Develop and evolve REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations with internal and third-party systems.
• Modernise and maintain existing Java and .NET applications, including refactoring, migration, and performance tuning.
• Improve the performance, reliability, observability, and security of production systems.
• Review code, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and help establish coding, testing, and CI/CD standards.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response, and lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
• Work with Product, Design, and QA teams to break down ambiguous requirements and deliver solutions iteratively.
• Contribute to hiring, estimation, and technical roadmap planning.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and maintaining production systems.
• Expert-level knowledge of Java (11 or later) and Spring Boot, including Spring MVC or WebFlux, Spring Data/JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.
• Hands-on .NET experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, and Entity Framework, including the ability to build, maintain, and integrate with .NET services.
• Strong front-end development skills in React or Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, including state management, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Solid experience designing microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven systems using messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong database skills in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle, covering data modelling, transactions, and query tuning, with familiarity with Redis or other NoSQL databases.
• Experience with a major cloud platform (AWS or Azure), Docker, container orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of application security, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JSON Web Tokens (JWT), secure coding, and OWASP practices.
• Strong testing practices, including JUnit, Mockito, xUnit, integration testing, and end-to-end testing tools such as Cypress or Playwright.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions, mentor engineers, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Added Advantage: Banking Domain Experience

• Experience building or integrating with core banking, digital banking, lending, cards, or wealth management platforms.
• Understanding of financial regulations and security standards, such as PCI DSS and applicable local regulatory technology risk guidelines.
• Experience designing transaction-processing systems for high availability, auditability, idempotency, and data integrity.
