QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER – ROBOT FRAMEWORK & APPIUM

Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Contract: 6–14 Months (Fixed-Term Contract)

Are you passionate about test automation and building reliable, scalable testing solutions?

We’re looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Robot Framework, Appium, and Python to join our client's team in Malaysia.

In this role, you'll develop and maintain automated testing solutions, improve mobile application quality, and collaborate with development and QA teams to deliver reliable software.

What You'll Do:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts using Robot Framework.
• Build reusable test libraries, custom keywords, and automation utilities using Python.
• Automate Android mobile application testing using Appium across emulators, simulators, and real devices.
• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Analyze test results, review execution logs, and maintain automation reports.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to investigate defects and resolve testing issues.
• Apply keyword-driven and data-driven testing approaches to improve automation efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
• At least 2 years of experience with Appium and Android mobile test automation.
• Good Python scripting skills, including developing custom Robot Framework libraries.
• Strong understanding of mobile testing, Appium architecture, and mobile automation best practices.
• Knowledge of software testing fundamentals, including STLC, test case design, and defect management.
• Experience with Git, JSON, XML, and YAML.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in the telecommunications (Telecom) domain.
• Familiarity with JIRA for defect tracking and test management.
• Experience with mobile device farms and real-device testing.
• Experience developing custom Robot Framework libraries and extensions.
