Professional Job Description

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage project cost estimates, budgets, and commercial activities. You will prepare Bills of Quantities, support tendering and procurement, handle progress claims and variations, and ensure effective cost control from project start through to final accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Assist in tender preparation, pricing, and commercial evaluation.
• Source quotations and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Prepare and issue subcontract tender documents and recommendations for award.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and contractual claims.
• Monitor project costs and support commercial reporting.
• Prepare and manage final accounts for main contracts and subcontracts.
• Support the Contract Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor on contractual and commercial matters.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Relevant working experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry; experience on Singapore projects preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
• Soft Skills: Good analytical, organisational, and communication abilities; attention to detail.
• Other: Ability to work effectively in a project-based construction environment.
