We are seeking an experienced Software/Applications Engineer to develop, enhance and support software applications for a mission-critical systems project. You will work with technical teams to deliver reliable, secure and maintainable applications in a structured IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance software applications using languages such as Java, C++, Python or Node.js.

• Support application deployment in cloud-native, virtualised or containerised environments.

• Implement automated testing, code management and CI/CD practices.

• Ensure applications meet security, reliability and performance requirements.

• Support software validation, troubleshooting and integration activities.

• Prepare technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.

• 5–10 years of relevant software development experience.

• Proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages.

• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX or Windows environments, CI/CD, GitOps and infrastructure as code.

• Experience with cloud-native applications, ETL or data-stream processing is advantageous.

• Experience in regulated, aviation, aerospace, defence or other mission-critical environments is an advantage.
