Job Overview
We are looking for an Actuarial Analyst to support research, analysis, and recruitment-related projects within a specialist recruitment environment. The role will work with internal teams supporting clients across the insurance, financial services, and professional services sectors.
The successful candidate will apply analytical and actuarial knowledge to market research, candidate assessment, industry analysis, and client reporting while developing a strong understanding of actuarial and insurance-related roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis relating to actuarial, insurance, and financial services roles.
- Support recruitment consultants with market mapping and talent research.
- Analyse candidate profiles, qualifications, professional experience, and relevant technical skills.
- Assist with salary benchmarking and compensation research for actuarial positions.
- Prepare market reports, candidate summaries, and client presentations.
- Maintain accurate records of candidate and market information.
- Monitor industry developments, hiring trends, and changes within the insurance and financial services sectors.
- Support consultants in identifying suitable candidates for specialist and senior-level positions.
- Review actuarial and financial data where relevant to recruitment assignments.
- Work with internal teams to understand client requirements and position specifications.
- Assist with data analysis using Excel and other analytical tools.
- Present findings and relevant market insights to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling candidate and client information.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Understanding of actuarial principles, insurance products, or financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organise information and work with multiple assignments.
- Interest in the insurance, actuarial, and financial services sectors.
- Previous experience in actuarial analysis, insurance, financial services, research, or recruitment-related analysis is an advantage.
- Professional actuarial qualifications or progress towards actuarial examinations will be an advantage.
