Job Summary

We are seeking a talented 3D Pattern Designer to join our creative team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional pattern making and digital 3D visualization. You will be responsible for creating precise, realistic, and production-ready 3D patterns, textures, and digital garments. The ideal candidate has an eye for textile aesthetics, a strong understanding of garment physics/draping, and mastery of 3D apparel software.

Key Responsibilities

• 3D Creation: Translate 2D design sketches, tech packs, and physical patterns into high-fidelity 3D digital prototypes and assets.

• Garment Simulation: Conduct digital fittings, simulate fabric draping, and adjust garment stress/tension to ensure virtual fits mimic real-world physics.

• Texture & Material Design: Create and apply realistic digital textures, artwork maps (diffuse, normal, displacement), and colorways to 3D patterns.

• Workflow Optimization: Maintain and organize an updated library of digital blocks, avatar dimensions, and fabric presets.

• Collaboration: Work closely with fashion designers, tech designers, and production teams to refine styles and ensure seamless transition to manufacturing.

• Quality Control: Review 3D renders for accurate representation of styling, fit, stitching, and material characteristics.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Apparel Engineering, 3D Digital Art, or a related field.

• Software Mastery: Proficient in CLO 3D is mandatory.

• Supporting Software: Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and 3D texturing software (e.g., Substance 3D Painter/Designer) or rendering tools (Blender, Modo) are highly preferred.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of traditional pattern making, garment construction, grading, and fabric properties (stretch, weight, drape).

• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in 3D apparel simulation, digital prototyping, or digital fashion design.

• Portfolio: A strong, updated portfolio showcasing 3D garment renders, wireframes, and pattern layouts is required for application.
