About Our Client

Our client is an established, public-listed engineering solutions provider that designs and manufactures optical inspection, measurement and automated handling equipment for the semiconductor and electronics industries, with offices across Southeast Asia. In line with business expansion, they are hiring Vision Software Engineers to join their engineering team.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, install and commission machine vision systems on inspection and automation equipment, in-house and at customer sites.
• Configure and integrate industrial cameras, lighting, lenses and related vision hardware according to project requirements and customer specifications.
• Develop, test and debug vision applications and system-control software in C# (.NET).
• Integrate vision systems with PLCs, motion controllers and I/O, and tune image-processing algorithms for defect detection and measurement.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting during setup, buy-off and production support.
• Prepare software specifications, test records and user documentation in line with ISO practices.
• Keep up to date with new vision technologies, hardware and software platforms through training.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Fresh graduates and junior candidates (0–3 years) are encouraged to apply; experienced candidates will be considered for a senior role.
• Programming skills in C# / .NET; C++ or Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of image processing or machine vision libraries (e.g. OpenCV, Halcon, Cognex VisionPro) is an advantage.
• Familiar with motion and I/O control, networking or databases is preferred.
• Enjoys working with both software and hardware, and is hands-on in solving problems.
• Willing to travel occasionally to customer sites, including Penang.
