If you're passionate about people, operational excellence and building meaningful workplace cultures, we'd love to have you in our team! We are hiring:

  • People & Operations Manager — The Summer Acai (Singapore)
  • SGD 5k – 5.5k

At The Summer Açaí, we're more than just a growing F&B brand. We're always building a people-driven organisation that combines operational excellence, vibrant brand experiences and a strong positive workplace culture for people to excel in.

As we continue to expand across Singapore and internationally, we're looking for a proactive, resourceful and people-oriented People & Operations Manager to strengthen our HR function, develop our people and build scalable systems that support our growing team.

Think you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of challenges and believes that great people management goes beyond administrative HR? This is your chance to excel in a hands-on role with these key responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

- Own the end-to-end recruitment process across outlet operations functions, from sourcing and screening to onboarding.

- Develop effective recruitment strategies and talent pipelines to support ongoing manpower requirements.

- Partner with Operations to forecast manpower needs, optimise workforce allocation and minimise staffing disruptions.

- Strengthen employee onboarding, orientation and probation processes to improve retention and job readiness.

2. Employee Relations & Retention

- Manage employee grievances, workplace conflicts, disciplinary matters and employee exits professionally and independently.

- Monitor absenteeism, employee turnover and attendance patterns, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures.

- Conduct employee engagement initiatives, feedback sessions and exit interviews to improve workplace satisfaction and retention.

- Advise outlet managers on employee-related matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.

3. Performance Management & Employee Development

- Establish and administer structured probation reviews, performance appraisals and performance improvement plans (PIPs).

- Work with Operations to define measurable performance standards and assessment criteria across different job roles.

- Coordinate employee training, competency assessments and career progression frameworks.

- Ensure underperformance is addressed promptly through documented coaching, follow-ups and appropriate corrective action.

4. HR Operations, Policies & Compliance

- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, payroll coordination, leave administration, contracts and statutory requirements.

- Ensure compliance with Singapore employment legislation, MOM regulations and applicable employment policies.

- Develop, review and streamline HR policies, SOPs and internal workflows.

- Ensure accurate and timely execution of HR administrative processes.

5. HR Strategy, Systems & Process Improvement

- Develop and improve HR workflows, including recruitment tracking, onboarding, employee documentation and HR reporting.

- Implement HR systems and automation to reduce manual administrative work and improve operational efficiency.

- Maintain and analyse key HR metrics, including recruitment lead time, employee turnover, absenteeism and manpower costs.

- Identify gaps in existing HR processes and independently drive improvement projects from planning through implementation.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant HR generalist experience, preferably in F&B, retail, hospitality or other manpower-intensive industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR operations.
  • Comfortable managing both strategic HR initiatives and hands-on operational responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, independent and capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Confident in making decisions, addressing difficult conversations and driving initiatives through to completion.

If you think you are a proactive problem-solver who takes ownership, balances empathy with accountability and delivers practical solutions, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are driven to build and strengthen the people function of a growing organisation - then you are definitely a fit for this role, send us your resume to ************* and we can't wait to speak to you!
