Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing test solutions for high-performance semiconductor products.
  2. Design, develop, and validate test hardware and software to ensure optimal test coverage, efficiency, robustness, and manufacturability.
  3. Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex test issues during production to ensure timely and accurate test results while minimizing manufacturing downtime.
  4. Support and drive test program releases and maintain test hardware health, including load board debugging, repair coordination, and performance monitoring.
  5. Review, validate, and coordinate new test program releases for production readiness, ensuring test quality, coverage, and stability.
  6. Lead and drive yield improvement initiatives through test optimization, test time reduction, coverage enhancement, and systematic root-cause analysis.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex testability, product performance, quality, and production ramp issues.
  8. Support and improve final test operations, including capacity planning, production troubleshooting, tester utilization, and overall test robustness.
  9. Perform and analyze correlation, characterization, and limit generation activities during new product introduction and production transfer.
  10. Conduct statistical data analysis to identify test data correlations, performance trends, yield excursions, and improvement opportunities.
  11. Drive structured problem-solving and corrective actions for test-related manufacturing issues and ensure effective implementation of solutions.
  12. Document test procedures, technical results, lessons learned, and process changes to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing.
  13. Interface with external test equipment and hardware vendors to address technical issues and ensure equipment readiness and performance.
  14. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians on test processes, troubleshooting methodologies, and engineering best practices.
  15. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing efficiency, test quality, cost reduction, and equipment performance.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, product test, or test engineering.
  • Experience in analog/mixed-signal semiconductor product testing is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in independently troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing test issues.


Technical Skills

  1. Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits, semiconductor device fundamentals, and production test principles.
  2. Hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as NI STS, Teradyne, ETS364, or equivalent semiconductor test systems.
  3. Programming proficiency in C, C++, Python, LabVIEW, Java, Perl, or other relevant programming languages.
  4. Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, and other test instrumentation.
  5. Competency in statistical analysis methodologies for test data correlation, yield evaluation, characterization, and root-cause analysis.
  6. Experience with test hardware debugging, test program validation, correlation, characterization, and production release.
  7. Ability to analyze production test data and identify improvement opportunities related to yield, test time, test coverage, and manufacturing performance.
