About the Role

Century Software (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a capable and results-driven AI Team Lead to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions across the organisation.

This position offers an opportunity for an experienced AI professional to take on a leadership role, drive enterprise AI initiatives, and contribute to the organisation's digital transformation strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of AI Engineers, overseeing AI-related projects, and delivering practical, secure, and scalable AI solutions that enhance business efficiency and operational performance.

Position: AI Team Lead

Salary Range: RM5,000 – RM8,000 per month

Experience: 3–5 years

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, guide, and mentor a team of AI Engineers to ensure effective project delivery and continuous technical development.
• Design, develop, and implement AI/LLM-powered applications, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and intelligent workflow automation.
• Develop and execute AI implementation plans, technical frameworks, and project roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Build and enhance internal AI solutions using technologies such as Claude AI, AWS, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Vector Databases.
• Establish AI/LLM evaluation frameworks to assess model accuracy, reliability, performance, and overall solution effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal departments and business stakeholders to identify AI adoption opportunities and translate operational requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, technical deliverables, and implementation timelines.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with enterprise security requirements, data protection standards, and production environment controls.
• Provide technical guidance on AI architecture, system integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
• Support organisational AI awareness initiatives, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement programmes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience in AI/ML Engineering, Software Development, Generative AI, or related technical fields.
• Proven hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/LLM applications, RAG solutions, and AI agents.
• Practical knowledge of AI/LLM evaluation frameworks, testing methodologies, and performance monitoring.
• Experience with AI development frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent technologies.
• Good understanding of Vector Databases, Knowledge Bases, semantic search, and API integrations.
• Exposure to Claude AI, AWS cloud services, or comparable AI and cloud platforms will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with enterprise application integration, data security, and production deployment practices.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership, technical mentoring, or leading software/AI development projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within established timelines.
