About the Role

Our client is a growing technology company operating in the digital finance and payments space, building products and platforms that serve a broad base of users across the region. They are seeking a talented Product Designer to join their expanding Product team, taking ownership of the end-to-end design process across multiple digital products. This is an exciting opportunity to shape meaningful user experiences at a company where design plays a central role in product strategy and decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders — including Product Managers, Engineers, and Business Operations — to translate complex requirements into intuitive, elegant digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end UX design process — from user research and information architecture to wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design — ensuring solutions address both user needs and business objectives

• Design clean, modern, and visually consistent user interfaces across web and mobile platforms, maintaining coherent typography, spacing, components, and interaction patterns

• Develop and maintain reusable UI components and contribute to the evolution of a scalable design system, establishing consistent standards across all products

• Conduct user research, analyse qualitative and quantitative feedback, and translate findings into actionable design improvements that measurably enhance usability and customer experience

• Create interactive prototypes and facilitate usability testing sessions to validate design decisions before and during development

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle, providing clear design specifications and handoff materials, and reviewing implemented features to identify UI/UX discrepancies

• Participate actively in product discussions, design reviews, and sprint planning, articulating and defending design decisions with reference to user data and business goals

• Continuously monitor emerging UI/UX trends and design methodologies — particularly within fintech and digital product contexts — applying relevant insights to drive ongoing product improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, or a related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in UI/UX or Product Design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work across digital products

• Proficiency in Figma or comparable design tools, with demonstrated ability to produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and design specifications

• Solid understanding of user-centred design principles, responsive design, and modern web/mobile interaction patterns, with strong visual design sensibility and attention to detail

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly explain and defend design decisions using user insights, data, and business context

• Experience working in fintech, payments, banking, e-commerce, or SaaS environments (is a bonus)

• Experience designing financial products or complex transactional workflows (is a bonus)

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and tools such as Jira or Confluence (is a bonus)

• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end technical constraints (is a bonus)

• Mandarin proficiency is required to liaise and communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, including internal teams and business/product counterparts
