About the Role

We are representing an established Multinational Manufacturing enterprise seeking a seasoned, hands-on SAP ERP Project Manager to lead a major multi-country ERP transformation (SAP S/4HANA Cloud).

Sitting within the Transformation Office, this is a pivotal leadership role bridging both the IT department and core business operations (Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Commercial).

You will act as the company's single point of project management accountability—leading integrated planning, steering System Integrator (SI) delivery, and driving business readiness across manufacturing plant sites and regional offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Business & IT Bridge: Manage project execution across both IT and business functions. Build deep stakeholder relationships with plant operational leaders, Finance, Supply Chain, and regional executives.
• System Integrator (SI) Governance: Serve as the client-side authority counter-balancing Tier-1 Systems Integrator. Rigorously govern SOWs, milestone acceptances, change requests, deliverable quality, and technical scope.
• Plant & Operational Blackout Management: Incorporate site operational realities—factory production schedules, maintenance turnarounds, and mandatory stock-count shut downs—into the master cutover plan so critical plant activities are never disrupted.
• Integrated Master Planning: Co-own the master project schedule with the SI. Lead risk management (RAIDO), dependency mapping, data cleansing/migration, end-to-end testing, user training, and cutover.
• Self-Directed Execution: Proactively establish activity sequences, anticipate operational bottlenecks, and drive resolution independently without waiting for top-down direction.
• Go-Live & Hypercare: Lead phase-gate reviews, go/no-go readiness assessments, cutover execution, hypercare stabilization, and transition to Business-As-Usual (BAU).

Must-Haves & Core Qualifications:

• 15+ Years of Proven Experience: A track record in project/programme management, blending strategic oversight with active, hands-on execution.
• Hands-on Manufacturing Experience: Candidates must have stepped foot in manufacturing plants and deeply understand plant floor operations, supply chain logistics, and factory environments.
• SAP ERP Expertise: Demonstrated experience delivering full-lifecycle SAP ERP implementations/transformations. Strong SAP knowledge is essential to effectively challenge and govern the SI.
• Full-Lifecycle ERP End-to-End Delivery: Proven background owning the complete ERP transformation lifecycle—from pre-close scoping, business mobilization, blueprinting, and testing to cutover and hypercare.
• Exceptional Communication & Balance: Fluent in translating complex technical/SAP topics into clear business language. Assertive yet collaborative when managing tough business stakeholders and external SI leads.
• High Autonomy & Proactive Drive: Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, establish project sequencing independently, and take ownership of critical path milestones.

Certifications & Education:

• PMP / PRINCE2 Certification: Mandatory (PMP preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
