Job Scope

As a Chef at GYG, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking our food to the highest standards while keeping the kitchen running smoothly during service.

You’ll work closely with the kitchen team to ensure food is prepared consistently, orders are delivered on time and the kitchen remains clean, safe and organised.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking food according to GYG recipes and standards
• Ensuring food quality, portioning and presentation are consistent
• Preparing ingredients and managing your assigned kitchen station
• Working efficiently during busy service periods
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Monitoring stock levels and minimising food wastage
• Supporting the Head Chef and wider kitchen team when required

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working in a kitchen or commercial cooking environment
• Good understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Team player with good communication skills
