• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes is an advantage.

• Knowledge of CNC machining, milling, turning, grinding, or other precision machining processes will be an added advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

• Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

• Meticulous, responsible, and willing to learn.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for customer enquiries and new products.

• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and material requirements.

• Liaise with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Purchasing departments to obtain costing information.

• Obtain and verify material prices and supplier quotations.

• Maintain and update costing records, quotation files, and cost databases.

• Compare estimated costs against actual production costs and identify cost variances.

• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and support manufacturing cost optimisation.

• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the management.
