Role Description The Corporate Affairs Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for supporting corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, and public relations activities to strengthen Avangaad’s brand and reputation in the maritime and offshore industries. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and editing corporate materials, preparing press releases, speeches, and presentations, and coordinating media and stakeholder events. The Corporate Affairs Executive will monitor industry developments, manage corporate information for internal and external audiences, and support reporting to regulatory bodies and business partners. The role also involves assisting with corporate social responsibility initiatives, maintaining accurate records and documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, compliant messaging.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in corporate communications, business writing, and editing, with the ability to produce clear and professional content for diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in public relations, media liaison, and stakeholder management, including coordination of events, briefings, and external engagements.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and reporting practices, preferably within maritime, energy, or related industries.
  • Proficiency in research, information analysis, and preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior management.
  • Relevant academic qualification, such as a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in WP. Kuala Lumpur and familiarity with the Malaysian corporate and regulatory landscape; experience in maritime or offshore sectors is an advantage.
  • Holds a degree or executive diploma in corporate communications / business administration / finance/ management from recognised institute / university.
  • At least 2-3 years of working experience.
