Research infrastructure and data systems
- Design, build, set up, and oversee the Company's research infrastructure, including datasets and data systems.
- Establish data quality,validation, and governance standards so research outputs are accurate,reproducible, and auditable.
- Develop and implement industry research methodologies, data architecture, and research tooling to support the Company's research and product functions.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure research infrastructure supports the Company's business objectives.
- Build, manage, and mentor the research infrastructure / data team as required to achieve the Company's research and business objectives.
- Set technical direction,standards, and review practices; foster a culture of rig our and documentation.
- Undertake other duties commensurate with the seniority of the role, and ensure all activities comply with applicable laws and company policies, including confidentiality, cybersecurity , and data protection.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in research infrastructure, or quantitative/industry research.
- Proven track record of designing and building production data pipelines, datasets, and data systems,ideally supporting a research, investment, or analytics function.
- Experience developing structured research methodologies or comparable analytical rigor.
- Able to hire, manage, and mentor a technical team while remaining hands-on; strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willing to travel overseas as reasonably required.
- Experience building data or research infrastructure.
- Domain exposure to industry,market, or financial research; experience in an early-stage environment where systems were built from scratch.
