Job Description

• Partner with System Analysts to architect, develop, and deliver application modules aligned with business requirements and functional specifications.
• Manage, optimize, and maintain technical documentation while performing source code version control, commits, and merges through GitLab/SVN.
• Design, execute, and automate unit and integration testing frameworks, leveraging SonarQube and Jenkins to strengthen code quality and deployment reliability.
• Lead peer code reviews, champion development best practices, and drive knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.
• Own the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of production applications.
• Develop, validate, and support business-critical applications, ensuring solutions meet operational and user requirements.
• Orchestrate application deployments, oversee system integrations, and ensure seamless functionality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Leverage Jira and GitLab to coordinate, track, and streamline development activities, issue resolution, and support requests.
• Apply deep expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, and modern Java technologies to deliver scalable and resilient solutions.
• Utilize Java Reactive Frameworks to build high-performance, responsive, and event-driven applications.
• Produce comprehensive technical analysis, solution design, and supporting documentation to facilitate project delivery and stakeholder alignment.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize application performance post-deployment to ensure system reliability and operational excellence.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues with urgency while delivering sustainable solutions.
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust implementations that precisely align with specifications.
• Evaluate system designs, identify architectural weaknesses, and recommend enhancements to improve scalability, maintainability, security, and overall performance.
  
  

The Successful Applicant

A Successful 'Senior Java Developer' Should Have

• minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies.
• Demonstrate proven experience within the Financial Services industry; exposure to credit-related solutions will be highly advantageous.
• Possess strong technical expertise in Java, Maven, JPA, Spring Boot, Reactive Java, SOAP, RESTful APIs, and MySQL.
• Leverage CI/CD best practices through GitLab and Jenkins to deliver high-quality, automated software releases.
• Apply code quality and governance standards using SonarQube to ensure robust code coverage and maintainability.
• Deploy and manage applications within cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Demonstrate functional knowledge of Credit Reporting, Credit Risk, or Credit Rating solutions, which will be considered a strong advantage.
• Utilize Linux/Red Hat environments effectively for application development, deployment, and system troubleshooting.
