About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Automation & Performance QA Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our Quality Engineering team. You’ll define automation and performance testing strategies, build and maintain automated test suites, and run performance tests to see how systems behave under load. If you have strong hands-on skills in Playwright, Selenium, Java and JMeter, and enjoy finding out why systems slow down, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Define automation and performance testing strategies for applications, APIs, and distributed systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites.

• Maintain the automation framework, built on Playwright with Java, Selenium and Appium.

• Monitor automation execution results and diagnose failures.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Design, implement, and maintain performance test suites.

• Perform load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability testing.

• Monitor application and infrastructure behavior during performance test runs.

• Analyze performance bottlenecks and propose improvements.

• Work with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to investigate performance issues.

• Produce performance assessment reports with findings, recommendations, and optimization opportunities.

• Promote performance engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Support other users of the automation framework, and help hire, onboard and train new automation engineers.

• Communicate effectively with development teams, QA teams, and stakeholders.

What would you need?

• 6+ years of experience in test automation and performance testing.

• Strong experience developing automated tests with Playwright and/or Selenium.

• Strong Java programming skills.

• Solid knowledge of automation frameworks and testing best practices.

• Experience with Git, and with configuring and maintaining Jenkins pipelines and jobs.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD environments.

• Advanced or expert-level experience with Apache JMeter.

• Strong understanding of performance testing methods: load, stress, endurance/soak, spike, and scalability testing.

• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.

• Strong performance analysis and bottleneck identification skills, including monitoring application, infrastructure and system resource metrics during test execution.

• Ability to work independently and drive investigations to resolution.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work closely with QA, Development, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams.
