We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cake Bakery Assistant to join our small-batch home bakery team.

You will assist with the preparation, baking, decoration, packaging and fulfilment of our chiffon cakes and other fresh bakes. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys baking, has an eye for detail and takes pride in producing clean, presentable products.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and baking of chiffon cakes and other bakery products
• Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes
• Assist with cake decoration and finishing
• Slice, portion and package cakes neatly
• Prepare orders for customer collection and delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the baking area and equipment
• Wash and clean baking tools, trays and work surfaces
• Check ingredients and packaging supplies
• Assist with inventory and stock preparation
• Follow food safety, hygiene and bakery procedures
• Ensure all products meet the bakery's quality and presentation standards
• Assist with other general bakery duties when required

Requirements

• No formal bakery experience required; training will be provided
• Previous baking or food preparation experience is an advantage
• Basic understanding of baking and food hygiene
• Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Good attention to detail
• Responsible, punctual and reliable
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team
• Comfortable with repetitive preparation and cleaning tasks
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and handle bakery equipment
• Passionate about baking and food presentation

Working Hours

Part-Time: Flexible hours, depending on production and order requirements

Weekend and peak-period availability will be required.
