1. Job Purpose

To monitor and control operating costs, prepare cost reports, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support management in improving the company’s cost efficiency.

2. Key Responsibilities

· Monitor production costs, raw materials, utilities, manpower, maintenance, and other operating expenses.

· Prepare monthly cost reports and compare actual costs against budget and production targets.

· Track cost per tonne/unit of production and highlight unusual increases or variances.

· Work with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Finance to verify cost data.

· Monitor inventory usage, wastage, and losses, and report any significant differences.

· Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.

· Identify cost-saving opportunities without affecting product quality, safety, or operations.

· Maintain accurate cost records and prepare reports for management.

· Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

3. Requirements

· Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

· 3-5 years’ experience in cost control, costing, finance, or manufacturing operations is an advantage.

· Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with reporting systems.

· Able to work with different departments and meet reporting deadlines.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Accuracy and timeliness of cost reports.

· Effective monitoring of budget and cost variances.

· Identification and implementation of cost-saving measures.

· Accuracy of production cost and inventory usage records.

5. Reporting Line

Reports to: Finance Manager / Head of Department

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
