About the Role

Luna Education is seeking passionate, experienced, and dedicated International English Teachers to provide high-quality English instruction to students from diverse educational backgrounds.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with international English curricula and assessment frameworks, including MAP Growth, AEIS, WIDA, and General English.

Teachers will be responsible for delivering engaging, student-centred lessons tailored to individual learning needs, proficiency levels, and academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver interactive and engaging English lessons to primary and secondary school students.
• Prepare students for international English assessments, including:
• MAP Growth (Reading & Language Usage): Reading comprehension, vocabulary development, literary analysis, and language skills.
• AEIS (Admissions Exercise for International Students): English examination preparation, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing.
• WIDA: Academic English proficiency development across listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• General English: Grammar, vocabulary, phonics, reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Develop personalised lesson plans based on students’ proficiency levels and learning objectives.
• Conduct initial assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement.
• Monitor academic progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Create or customise teaching materials, worksheets, and practice assessments.
• Maintain a positive, supportive, and engaging online learning environment.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing a degree with strong teaching experience).
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Experience teaching English to primary or secondary school students.
• Strong communication and lesson-planning skills.
• Ability to deliver engaging and interactive online lessons.
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching MAP Growth, AEIS, WIDA, or international school English curricula.
• Familiarity with Singapore’s education system and international school standards.
• Experience teaching ESL/EAL students.
• Teaching certifications such as TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or PGDE.
• Experience preparing students for standardised English assessments.
• Ability to teach students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
• Experience supporting students with different learning needs, including ADHD.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
