Role Description The Assistant Quality Assurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore, responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of food safety and quality management systems. This role oversees daily quality checks on production lines, inspects raw materials and finished products, and ensures compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines. The individual coordinates with operations, R&D, and procurement teams to investigate non-conformities, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves assisting in audits, maintaining documentation and records, training production staff on quality and hygiene procedures, and preparing reports and metrics for management review. Collaboration with external partners and customers may be required to address quality-related inquiries and support product specification or certification processes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, and HACCP or equivalent food safety management systems.
• Experience with quality control processes in food manufacturing, including inspections, sampling, and testing methodologies.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant local and international food regulations, standards, and customer specifications.
• Proficiency in documentation, report writing, and data analysis to track quality performance and support decision-making.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide production staff.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks, investigate issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or a related discipline; relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a food production or institutional catering environment is highly beneficial.
