Production Planner/ Senior Planner Executive (PPC) - Mandarin speaking

Location: Bandar Parklands, Klang, Selangor
Salary: RM5,000 – RM7,000 per month

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planner Executive (PPC) to lead and optimise production planning activities across the manufacturing operation.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in production planning, MRP/ERP, capacity planning, inventory control and cross-functional coordination, who can manage changing production priorities and ensure products are delivered on time.

You will work closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, Logistics and Sales teams to ensure production plans are achievable and aligned with business demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily, weekly and longer-term production plans based on customer demand and production capacity.
• Convert customer orders and forecasts into feasible production schedules.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, Logistics and Sales to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor production capacity, manpower, machinery and material availability.
• Identify production bottlenecks, shortages, delays and capacity gaps, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage inventory levels to minimise stockouts and excess inventory.
• Support S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) and short-term production planning.
• Adjust production schedules based on changing priorities, material shortages or unforeseen production issues.
• Monitor planning and production KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Prepare planning reports, forecasts and analysis for management review.
• Ensure production plans consider equipment availability, maintenance and calibration requirements.
• Optimise production sequencing to reduce machine changeovers and idle time.
• Lead, mentor and support junior planning team members.
• Support implementation of QMS, EMS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of production plans, inventory information, supplier data and operational information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in production planning, production control or supply chain within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Production planning & scheduling
• Demand forecasting
• Material planning
• Capacity planning
• Inventory management
• Production control
• Experience working with MRP/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows and supply chain operations.
• Experience coordinating with multiple functions including Production, Procurement, Quality, Logistics and Sales.
• Experience in high-mix/low-volume or high-volume/low-mix manufacturing will be an advantage.
• Previous experience mentoring or guiding junior planning team members.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and follow-through.
