Company Description

Magoran streamlines investor onboarding by replacing fragmented emails and manual signature collection with a single, clear, lawyer-vetted process. The platform is designed to reduce administrative friction, improve compliance, and enhance the overall onboarding experience for fund managers and investors. Team members contribute to building efficient, reliable solutions for modern fund operations, working in an environment that values accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement. In addition, Magoran Group provides fund accounting services to our clients.

Role Description

The fund accountant role at Magoran Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore. The fund accountant will oversee daily and periodic fund accounting activities, including maintaining general ledgers, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and calculating net asset value (NAV) for assigned funds. Responsibilities include supporting financial reporting cycles, reconciling accounts and transactions, and ensuring accurate, timely data for investors and internal stakeholders. The role involves collaborating with fund administrators and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and uphold regulatory and compliance standards. The fund accountant will also assist with audits, contribute to process documentation, and provide analytical support for financial and operational decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in fund accounting and NAV calculation, with the ability to manage daily and periodic fund operations accurately.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and financial reporting in line with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Solid foundation in finance, including understanding of investment products, capital flows, and fund structures.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and advanced spreadsheet skills; familiarity with fund administration systems is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with internal teams, external fund administrators, and auditors.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) are beneficial.
  • Prior experience in fund administration, asset management, or financial services in an accounting role is preferred.
