About the position

The SF FCL Tradelane Management Manager is responsible for overseeing and guiding the team to achieve departmental goals, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. This role focuses on optimizing processes, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a collaborative work environment to meet and exceed business targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads and manages a diverse team in FCL Tradelane Management, ensuring alignment with company goals and providing mentorship and development opportunities
• Develops and implements strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve operational objectives
• Monitors and evaluates team performance, setting clear goals and providing regular feedback
• Identifies and implements process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the department
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration
• Oversees department budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively
• Identifies potential risks within the department and develops mitigation strategies to minimize impact, particularly focusing on team-related risks
• Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies, and provides accurate and timely reports to senior management

Key Requirements

• 7+ years of Freight Forwarding and Sea Freight experience
• 4+ years of Sea Freight trade management experience
• 3+ years managerial experience
• Decision making capabilities
• Ability to work in a diverse environment and culture
• Network and relationship building both with external and internal customers
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Other languages (written and spoken) beneficial
