Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead the Singapore compliance framework for our client in a fast-paced fintech environment. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulatory requirements, translating regulatory obligations into practical policies, controls and processes, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a robust and scalable compliance environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of the firm’s Singapore compliance framework in accordance with applicable MAS regulatory requirements.
• Develop, maintain and continuously enhance compliance policies, manuals, procedures and related documentation.
• Monitor regulatory developments, notifications and regulatory updates, assess their impact and conduct gap analyses.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement required regulatory and compliance changes.
• Establish and maintain a Key Obligation Register, including appropriate controls, ownership and monitoring mechanisms.
• Partner closely with Business, Product and Operations teams on regulatory and compliance matters.
• Work with relevant external stakeholders to address regulatory requirements and compliance-related matters.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections, filings, surveys and regulatory communications, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
• Liaise directly with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) on regulatory and compliance matters when required.
• Support the Director of Compliance on regional compliance initiatives and projects.
• Take ownership of other compliance activities and initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant regulatory compliance experience within financial institutions, with fintech or payments experience strongly preferred.
• Mandatory experience with Singapore MAS regulatory requirements applicable to Major Payment Institutions (MPIs).
• Strong ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical policies, controls and operating processes.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining compliance frameworks, policies and regulatory controls.
• Strong regulatory monitoring, gap analysis and implementation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-paced fintech environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Business, Product, Operations and Compliance teams.
• Experience with regulatory requirements across other Southeast Asian jurisdictions will be an advantage.
