Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Technician role based in Cyberjaya. The Junior Technician will assist in operating, monitoring, and maintaining district cooling plant equipment and associated utility systems. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections, basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components, and supporting planned preventive maintenance activities under the guidance of senior technicians and engineers. The role involves recording operational data, reporting irregularities, and following safety procedures and work instructions. The Junior Technician will also help ensure equipment cleanliness, support minor repairs, and coordinate with team members to maintain reliable and efficient system performance.

Qualifications

• Technical skills in basic mechanical and electrical maintenance, with the ability to use hand tools and diagnostic instruments.
• Understanding of industrial utilities or HVAC/refrigeration systems, including pumps, chillers, piping, and control systems (training can be provided).
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from senior team members.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a shift or team-based environment.
• Minimum of a relevant technical certificate or diploma (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, or related fields); fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Physical ability to perform hands-on tasks, including standing, climbing, and lifting within safe limits.
• Willingness to work on-site in Cyberjaya/Sunway South Quay and respond to operational needs, including occasional extended or off-hour shifts if required.
